Where am I from?

I'm here to tell y'all about my awesome journey through life so far. I was born in a village outside of Montreal, Canada, on the St. Lawrence Seaway. But my heart always belonged to Texas, and I was raised in a small city outside of Dallas.

I made my way to Denver, Colorado, where I attended Galvanize Code School while working for two amazing companies, Faction and FullContact. It was in the mile-high city that I discovered my passion for technology and all the incredible things it could do.

From there, I headed west to Portland, Oregon, where I worked as a Build Lead at Atmosera before being promoted to Solutions Architect. But my heart remained in the mountains of Colorado, and I eventually found my way back to Denver where I am currently a Senior Sales Engineer for Affirm, a company that's changing the game when it comes to finance.

What do I do?

When I'm not working, you can find me pursuing my many hobbies, from jogging and horseback riding to practicing yoga and even taking up microscope photography. I have a special fondness for the donkey, and I'm passionate about conservation efforts to protect these amazing animals. Donkeys are currently facing a global population crisis and need us to step in. Donkeys are stronger than horses while consuming less calories, they're basically more efficient (while having a far better temperament than a horse - donkeys are true ride or die pals).

And let's not forget about my favorite insect, the Superb Green Cicada, native to my beloved Texas. I've always had a fascination with these little creatures and find them to be a symbol of the natural world's incredible diversity. And now, I'm working towards becoming an open water certified diver so I can explore the amazing underwater world alongside my fearless father. Life's an absurdist journey, my friends, and I'm just getting started.

"To abandon our purpose of building a greater, a more stable and a more tolerant America, would be to miss the tide and perhaps to miss the port. I propose to sail ahead. I feel sure that your hopes and your help are with me. For to reach a port, we must sail—sail, not tie at anchor—sail, not drift." --Franklin D. Roosevelt, Fireside Chat. April 14, 1938
